GOP Donation
As a lifelong registered Republican I am angered and astonished by the disclosure of the $47,000 donation from the Republican Party to the nonprofit Traditional Values Coalition just prior to the 1994 general election (Oct. 9). This organization and its leader, the Rev. Louis Sheldon, hawk fear and hate, with smugness, to the masses under the guise of traditional values. Whose values, I ask? Which tradition? The so-called Christian conservatives are slaughtering the party of Lincoln.
