FileNet Corp.: The Costa Mesa work-management and document-imaging software company reported third-quarter net income of $300,000, or 2 cents a share, which included an after-tax charge of $5 million for a merger and other costs. The results of FileNet’s wholly owned subsidiary, Watermark Software Inc., acquired in August, were included for the first time. For the third quarter last year, net income totaled $3.2 million, or 25 cents a share. Revenue increased 28% to $53.5 million from $41.9 million. For the nine-month period, net income totaled $6.5 million, or 47 cents a share, compared with $8.1 million, or 63 cents a share, for the comparable period in 1994. Revenue was up 22% to $151.9 million from $124.8 million.
