SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Members of the Valley Theatre League made some actors and other artists very happy Wednesday night, presenting their second annual Artistic Director Achievement Awards.

Following a cocktail reception honoring the nominees, 44 recipients received awards in numerous categories during an awards presentation at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, with TV and radio personality Tom Hatten serving as host.

Celebrity presenters from Lea Thompson, Betty Garrett and Walter Koenig to Patrick Cassidy and Tom Troupe handed out the symbols of respect and recognition to performers and technicians for work accomplished on San Fernando Valley-area stages between September, 1994, and August, 1995.
