Regency Cruises Shuts Down Operations: The New York-based company said it has told travel agents that all future sailings have been canceled. Regency, which operates seven cruise ships, offered tours of areas including Alaska, the Caribbean, the Far East and the Baltic States, according to a Securities and Exchange filing in September, 1994, for a planned initial public offering of 2.75 million shares. The offering did not take place. The company said passengers on current trips would be flown home.
