LOCAL HERO: Thousand Oaks resident Scott Rosenfeld says it was all in a day’s work, but his peers say that’s what makes him special (B5). KEEP ON TRUCKING: Santa Paula resident Mary Ellen Ledbetter, the new vice president of the National Assn. of Women in Construction, was a legal secretary when she married into the low-bed trucking business. Now, 19 years later, she co-owns a two-truck company with husband Don. . . . Only about 5% of the women in the 7,000-member NAWIC are in the trades, Ledbetter said. The rest are managers, support staff or in related businesses.
