ORANGE COUNTY ALMANAC : Humble Beginnings
During its construction in 1890, the grand French’s Opera House at Fourth and Bush streets in Santa Ana became the unlikely site for county farm exhibits.
The interior was completed in 1897 and the building renamed. The opera house was nationally renowned, attracting such well-known acts of the day as the Floradora Girls.
