Westlake Village : State of the City Address Scheduled
Outgoing Westlake Village Mayor Kenneth Rufener will deliver a state of the city address Nov. 16 before the Westlake Village Chamber of Commerce.
His talk follows a mercurial year for the city, which has enjoyed fiscal stability while being rocked by political unrest capped by the City Council’s vote last spring to approve a controversial PriceCostco store here.
Rufener, who has decided not to seek reelection, will speak during a chamber luncheon at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd.
A reception begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon and Rufener’s presentation at 1 p.m. Cost is $25 and reservations must be received by Nov. 10. For information, call the chamber at (818) 991-3101 or (805) 496-5630.
