KERMIT VS. PINOCCHIO

I can see why it might be “a tender point” to the Henson Creature Shop to compare their Pinocchio to a Jim Henson Muppet (“No Strings Attached,” by Peter Green, Oct. 22).

In an impromptu encounter between their 20-man puppet and the one-man Kermit the Frog, I can imagine which “sophisticated computer system” would crash first. The thought of unleashing Miss Piggy on the pre-programmed Prague animatronic would be enough to instantly terrify it into becoming a real boy. Fortunately, for those of us who love to have our theatrical experiences stretched, by whatever means, there is room for both old and new technologies.
