Retail Gasoline Prices Still Headed Down: Motorists have paid slightly less for a gallon of gas in the past two weeks, mainly because retailers have been catching up on wholesale price drops, according to Trilby Lundberg, publisher of the Lundberg Survey. The average price for all grades and including taxes was 115.90 cents per gallon, a 1.42-cent drop from the Oct. 20 average. The latest survey of 10,000 gas stations nationwide was taken Friday. “This is way, way down,” Lundberg said. “It’s nearly 13 cents lower than it was in early June, when it peaked.” On June 9, the survey reported the average at 128.62 cents. The average price at self-service pumps was 108.86 cents for unleaded regular, 119.30 cents for mid-grade unleaded, 127.61 cents for premium unleaded and 110.54 cents for leaded regular.
