Bank Will Ask Panel to OK New Building
Simi Valley Bank will take its plans for a new office building to the city Planning Commission on Wednesday. Bank officials want to construct a two-story building behind the bank office near Hubbard Street and Los Angeles Avenue.
The new 5,200-square-foot building would be in what is now a parking lot separating the bank from an Edwards movie theater. Although the lot would be redesigned around the new building, city planners say the lot would still contain enough parking spaces for surrounding businesses.
The building would house bookkeeping and other bank operations.
