ANAHEIM : Schools : Education news : Magnolia High Group Goes to Washington

Five students from Magnolia High School in Anaheim attended the four-day Capitol Focus Fall Conference recently in Sacramento.

Topics at the political awareness event included affirmative action, abortion funding, the criminal justice system, environmental issues and the budget.

Other activities included simulated legislative hearings, visits to the Capitol and other major sites.

The Magnolia High students are: James Jordan, Josh Lambeth, Vanessa Mathews, Melissa Roberts and Christina Shaffell.
