Gas at Construction Site Kills 3 Workers, Injures 3

McCOOK, Ill. — Gas overcame workers at a construction site Thursday, killing three and injuring three others.
One of the injured was hospitalized in serious condition and two others were treated and released after the accident at an excavation site at the Reynolds Metals Co. plant in this Chicago suburb.
One unidentified witness told WBBM radio that a gas line had ruptured, but company spokesman Terry Olbrysh said employees knew nothing of a break.
