COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : USC : Injured Trojans May Return for UCLA
Safety Jesse Davis and defensive end Izzy Ifeanyi, who left the Oregon State game Saturday because of hamstring injuries, both may play against UCLA, Trojan trainers said Monday.
Also given a chance to play is tailback LaVale Woods, who sat out the last four games because of a torn hamstring. Quarterback Brad Otton, who sat out the Oregon State game after suffering a concussion against Stanford on Nov. 4, will be available this week.
Less certain is defensive end Willie Lowery, who sprained his ankle Saturday.

The first pass Keyshawn Johnson catches Saturday will produce a single-season Pacific 10 record. He has 78, tying him with former Trojan Johnnie Morton, Dave Montagne of Oregon State and Brad Muster of Stanford.

Rose Bowl-bound Coach John Robinson said he wants to see a national college football championship game, but not a multi-week playoff system leading up to one.
“I favor some kind of committee of gurus who after the bowl games would pick two teams to play for the national championship at a neutral site,” he said.
“If you did that, it would have all the excitement of the NCAA basketball Final Four. I want to see that game, and I want it to be a real big deal for college football.”
