Syncor International Corp. bought all the assets of a rival company, Pyramid Diagnostic Services, for $3.15 million in a deal approved by a federal bankruptcy court in Tennessee.

Syncor, based in Chatsworth, said it will keep open three of Pyramid’s pharmacies that sell radiopharmaceuticals used in diagnostics texts. Syncor said it expects those three pharmacies to add $7 million to $8 million to its sales next year.

Syncor operates 117 radiopharmaceutical centers in the United States.
