Prudential Will Close Local Marketing Office

Prudential Insurance Co. of America will close its Woodland Hills marketing office in the next 2 1/2 years, leaving its 120 employees there hoping they will receive job transfers to other Prudential offices across the country.

This is part of a companywide closing of five marketing offices across the country, including offices in Minnesota, Florida, Pennsylvania and Illinois, that offer support services to Prudential agents.

Some workers at the Woodland Hills office will be offered jobs at Prudential offices in New Jersey or other parts of the country, but exactly how many people will lose their jobs is not clear, a company spokesman said.
