PORT HUENEME : Boutique and Party Planned for Seniors

Port Hueneme area senior citizens are invited to celebrate the holidays a little early with a turkey lunch and festive entertainment Dec. 11.

The annual senior holiday party will feature songs by the Vocal Production group, a collection of about 35 senior singers based in the Port Hueneme Senior Center.

In addition, seniors can wander a craft boutique, with tables of inexpensive gift possibilities made by those enrolled in the center’s art classes. The boutique gives talented seniors a chance to earn money for their supplies.

The boutique’s doors open at 9 a.m., and the party entertainment begins at 11 in the Community Center’s auditorium, 550 Park Ave., Port Hueneme.

Tickets for the party are $1 and can be purchased at the center’s office before next Tuesday. No tickets will be sold at the door. The boutique is free and no tickets are required.
