SAN JOSE--More turn-of-the-century activities are in store at “A Victorian Christmas,” a celebration at the San Jose Historical Museum, Dec. 9-10. Highlights include costumed carolers, children’s crafts, storytelling and visits with Father Christmas. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. OXNARD--The Victorian theme goes to sea at the 30th annual Channel Islands Harbor Parade of Lights, 7 p.m. Dec. 9. Themed “Victorian Holidays,” the parade can be viewed from the walkways, parks and restaurants along the harbor. Holiday entertainment and visits with Santa are offered around the harbor during the day, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Channel Islands Boulevard and Victoria. (800) 994-4852. PETALUMA--Enjoy the season, early California-style, at the Adobe Luminaria Fiesta, Dec. 9 at the Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park. Featured: Las Posadas procession, dancers, caroling, tours of the adobe, pin~ata games, empanadas, Mexican hot chocolate and other refreshments, and a lighting of the luminarias at dusk. SAN DIEGO--”Holiday in the Park,” featuring candlelight tours of historic buildings and museums in Old Town State Historic Park, is 6-9 p.m. Dec. 8-9. Costumed docents lead the tours, which also include refreshments and entertainment. $5, general; $3, kids; free for those 5 and under.
