Van Nuys : Feuer Joins Forum on Community Policing

City Councilman Mike Feuer will speak to residents and business people about community-based policing Tuesday at a Kittridge Street School forum.

The freshman councilman, who sits on the Public Safety Committee, will join Capt. Richard Wemmer, commanding officer of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division, Officer Kevin Scroggins and Deputy City Atty. Rick Schmidt at the meeting.

“Developing better links between the local police, the council office and the community is extremely important to us,” Feuer spokesman Howard Gantman said.

The forum is free and open to the public.

It will take place between 7 and 9 p.m. on the elementary campus, 13619 Kittridge St.
