SANTA PAULA : Aquinas Choir Plans Advent Concert
In celebration of the approach of Christmas, the Thomas Aquinas College Choir will hold its annual Advent Concert on Sunday, featuring Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria.”
The 60-student choir, which also includes five alumni of the Santa Paula school, will perform motets and carols of Advent, the period including the four Sundays before Christmas.
The concert, a college tradition for more than a decade, will be directed by Stephen Grimm, an alumnus of the college who now performs in the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Music Center Opera.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Bernardine of Siena Library. Admission is free.
