DANA POINT : Dana Hills Graduate Wins Scholar Award

Adam T. Cota, a 1995 graduate of Dana Hills High School, has won a National Advanced Placement Scholar Award, conferred on students who have completed the greatest number of tests with the highest advanced-placement grades in yearlong courses.

Cota and six other students who won the awards were selected to represent the 734 National Advanced Placement Scholars from the United States and Canada at an award ceremony in San Diego.

Cota, who is studying biochemistry at UC Berkeley, graduated first in his high school class, with a 4.4 grade-point average. His other honors include the California Scholarship Federation Award.
