SMALL FACES: The New Edition reunion album--featuring all six members, including Bobby Brown and the members of Bell Biv DeVoe--is continuing with sessions for a couple of songs being produced in New York by Sean (Puffy) Combs. The Jimmy Jam-Terry Lewis team is working on other tracks for the project. . . .

Also on the R&B; reunion front is Guy--the trio of Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall and Damian Hall--working on a new album due next year. . . .

Members of Dru Down have roles as young gang members in the upcoming film “Original Gangstas,” a re-teaming of such ‘70s blaxploitation stars as Fred Williamson, Pam Grier and Richard Roundtree. Shyheim also appears, with cameos by Luniz and Geto Boys Bushwick Bill and Scarface. . . .

The band Deftones will appear in “The Crow: City of Angels,” the sequel to “The Crow,” which starred the late Brandon Lee and spawned a hit soundtrack album. . . . The debut American album by ‘80s British female punk band the Raincoats, which reformed several years ago at the behest of fan Kurt Cobain, is due from Geffen in March. . . .

The Texas Tornados (Doug Sahm, Augie Meyers, Freddy Fender and Tex-Mex legend Flaco Jimenez) are recording in Austin with producer Jim Dickinson for an album due in May. . . .

Donna Summer, who earned solid reviews for a recent tour, will start work on a new album in January, though she’s still looking for a record deal. She also is scheduled to perform New Year’s Eve at the Universal Amphitheatre. . . .

British remix whiz William Orbit has signed to L.A.-based Discovery Records, with upcoming releases slated from his two bands, the global-ambient Strange Cargo and the more song-oriented Torch Song. He also has a weekly radio show that will air the first 12 Fridays of 1996 at midnight on KCRW-FM.*
