Clothestime to Close 30 Southern California Stores: The Anaheim-based retailer said the outlets are among 137 nationwide that it plans to close as part of its bankruptcy reorganization. Clothestime Inc., which entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings Friday, has lost $18 million in the past two years. Nearly 800 employees work at the stores, which will close Jan. 31, but Clothestime plans to transfer an undetermined number to stores that will remain open. It was uncertain how many jobs would be affected in California, but a company spokeswoman said that each store has about six employees. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge John J. Wilson must approve the closing plans during a hearing on Friday.
