Even though Cerritos does not have any X-rated theaters or strip-tease joints, the city’s Planning Commission is studying how to regulate adult entertainment.
But if such businesses open--says city advanced planning manager Bob Brady--the community aims to be prepared with a well-crafted ordinance that delineates “adult entertainment,” acceptable locations and hours of operation.
The Planning Commission is studying case law to see what the city can and cannot do, examining measures other towns have adopted and considering what is appropriate for Cerritos, Brady said.
