But Princess Diana, furious that Queen Elizabeth II is publicly pressing for divorce, indicated that she was in no hurry to end her marriage to the heir to the British throne. The prince’s press secretary moved quickly to stifle speculation that Charles intends to marry his longtime love, Camilla Parker-Bowles. “The Prince of Wales has no intention of remarrying,” Allan Percival said. “This has been the subject of great speculation, and we are now making clear the prince’s position.”
