Sales techniques: Small businesses can get tips on selling their products or services at a workshop Jan. 10 at the Glendale YWCA, 735 E. Lexington Drive. The lunch session, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., is sponsored by Contacts Unlimited, a business networking group in the Glendale, Burbank and Pasadena area. Computer training: Small businesses selling products out of state or that have competitors outside of California can obtain training for their employees at 60-hour computer classes at the Small Business Development Center, 21221 S. Free software, free computer use: Computer software by KnowledgePoint used to set up employee performance evaluations, job descriptions and policies is available at no cost to small businesses.
