San Fernando Valley : RECYCLING CHEER

The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District wants all your holiday cards.
The district is collecting used cards to be recycled into new ones and sold to raise money for a home for abused and abandoned children.
Cards may be dropped off at the district office, 4232 Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas. The cards will be sent to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Boulder City, Nev. for the recycling.
The collection project was organized by a group of water agency volunteers known as the “Green Team” who work to promote recycling.
Cards will be accepted until Jan. 12. All-occasion cards will also be accepted.
