Paul M. Clark Sr., 84, pioneer Pasadena businessman, developer and philanthropist. Educated at USC, Clark was the founder of Pasadena-based Decratrend Paint Corp., which grew from a single store to a five-state manufacturing and distributing concern before his retirement in 1978. As an early Pasadena real estate developer, Clark created innovative condominium complexes along Orange Grove Boulevard, commercial buildings throughout Pasadena and beach developments in Balboa, Newport Beach and Santa Barbara. He was active in several charitable and civic organizations, including Pasadena’s Tournament of Roses. On Friday in Newport Beach.
