The final week of 1995 ended the way the season has mostly gone, with “ER” and “Seinfeld” at Nos. 1 and 2, and ABC and NBC splitting the rest of the Top 10, figures released Wednesday by Nielsen Media Research indicated.

According to NBC, “ER,” with George Clooney, has been the top entertainment series for all 14 weeks it has aired this season and in 11 of 14 weeks with viewers age 18 to 49.

The holiday week, which was filled with reruns on the networks, saw ABC win it, with 11 of its shows finishing in the first 20. “Monday Night Football” closed out another successful season when its game between the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals came in at No. 3. It was No. 1 the week before.

On Christmas night, CBS’ special rebroadcast of “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial” (No. 46) edged the film “Benny & Joon” (No. 50), which was having its network premiere on NBC.

Two series that had dismal Christmas Eve showings bounced back New Year’s Eve: “60 Minutes,” with its salute to remarkable men, finished No. 11 and NBC’s “Mad About You” (No. 37) won its time slot.
