These are the productions scheduled thus far for 1996:

* “Jack and the Beanstalk, a.k.a. Clowns’ Play,” Broadway on Tour, Grove Theater Center, Garden Grove, Jan. 13 to Feb. 18. BOT’s season continues with the musical “Snoopy” (March 2 to April 14), “The Jungle Book” (May 18 to June 23) and two to-be-named summer shows. (714) 741-9550.

* “Ramona Quimby,” Children’s Theatre Company of Minneapolis, Irvine Barclay Theatre, Jan. 29 and 30. Based on Beverly Cleary’s popular “Ramona” books. (714) 854-4646.

* “Avner the Eccentric,” Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, Feb. 4. Clown-mime-juggler-magician-actor Avner Eisenberg’s act is a family show in the truest sense of the word. (800) 300-4345.

* “Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There,” Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre, Moulton Theatre, Laguna Beach. Feb. 16 to 25. Performed by middle school and high school actors. (714) 497-2787.

* “Peter Pan,” Black Light Theatre of Prague, Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, March 8. Promises to be one of the most unusual “Pans” ever to float, dance, shrink or fly across an Orange County stage. (714) 432-5880.

* “Panchatantra,” Animal Fables of India, OCC, March 10. This family-oriented dance theater piece features richly colored masks, costumes and sets, all made in India. (714) 432-5880.

* “Pippi Longstocking,” American Family Theatre, OCC, March 31. OCC wraps up a particularly full month for family entertainment with this musical. (714) 432-5880.

* “Bambi: A Life in the Woods” (April 12 to 21), an adaptation of Felix Salten’s book, minus the perky Disney characters, and “The Emperor’s New Clothes” (June 7 to 17), an audience-participation version. Both by Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre. (714) 497-2787.

* “The Sound of Music,” Orange County Children’s Theatre, Westminster Cultural Arts Center, May 10 to 19. OCCT also presents “The Wizard of Oz” at Los Alamitos High School, Aug. 9 to 18. A company willing to take on the big shows with bigger casts and itty-bitty budgets. (714) 502-2244.

* “Sleeping Beauty,” Paper Bag Players, Rancho Canada School, Lake Forest, March 16 to 31. The troupe will round out its season with productions in the summer and late fall. (714) 581-5402.

* “The Fitness Game,” Orange County Performing Arts Center, April 30. South Coast Repertory’s 1995-96 educational touring show by Jerry Patch and Michael Bigelow Dixon takes a pit stop during its four-month tour of local schools for two performances April 30 at OCPAC’s Founders Hall. * The South Coast Repertory Young Conservatory Players’ one and only show will be performed June 7 to 16 at the Costa Mesa theater’s Second Stage. No word on the title, but SCR education director Craig Fleming said his current considerations include a children’s show by Alan Ayckbourn. (714) 957-4033.
