Prince’s Watercolor Show to Close Soon
This weekend will be the last chance to view the pastoral watercolors painted by His Royal Highness Charles, Prince of Wales, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
The 40 landscapes present a broad spectrum of the prince’s work and include bucolic settings depicting the countryside around the English royal family’s estates in Balmoral, Scotland, and Sandringham, Norfolk.
Prince Charles has been painting for about 20 years as a meditative distraction from his busy royal schedule.
Since the exhibit opened in November, more than 25,000 people have visited the Reagan library to see the prince’s landscapes. Also on display is the “Christmas Around the World” exhibit featuring trees decorated in the ethnic traditions of various countries.
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $4, senior citizens $2 and children under 15 are admitted free. For more information call 522-8444.
