* Paul W. Mikos has become the sole chief executive of Remedy Inc., a rapidly growing staffing services company in San Juan Capistrano, after sharing the position with R. Emmett McDonough. McDonough, son of company founder Robert E. McDonough, will become vice chairman of the board, overseeing the development of new products and technology and some financial activities.
As a co-chief executive, McDonough was in charge of company-owned locations and Mikos handled the franchise division. Mikos, who retains his title as president, has been with the company for 18 years.
Remedy Inc. has more than 150 franchise and company offices in 33 states. The company reported $247 million in sales in 1995, a 56% jump over 1994. A spokeswoman for the company attributed the increase in part to a new testing procedure that allows Remedy customers to evaluate potential employees for such qualities as work ethic, attitude and dependability.
* Robert M. Witter has been selected director of promotions and partnership marketing for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. He joined the Walt Disney Co. in 1994 as regional manager for the Walt Disney Attractions marketing office in Seattle. As part of his new position, Witter will direct the marketing efforts of offices in Seattle and San Francisco. Those offices, which had marketed all Walt Disney Attractions theme parks, will now be full-time Disneyland regional offices.
