Meeting to Focus on Landfill Expansion
A community meeting to discuss the impact of the proposed expansion of Toland Road Landfill is set for Wednesday at the Community Center in Santa Paula.
Officials with the Ventura Regional Sanitation District will answer residents’ questions about plans to expand the capacity of the landfill from 135 tons daily to 1,500 tons.
If the project is approved, the dump, located off California 126 between Santa Paula and Fillmore, will replace the Bailard Landfill near Oxnard.
