Rep. Waldholtz Says Taxes Owed of Up to $130,000

From the Washington Post

Rep. Enid Greene Waldholtz (R-Utah) disclosed Wednesday that she owes between $50,000 and $130,000 in federal and state taxes for the years 1992, 1993 and 1994, but in each case linked the liability to actions by her estranged husband, Joseph Waldholtz.

The congresswoman, in filing revised financial disclosure statements with the House Ethics Committee and clerk of the House covering 1993 to November 1995, said: “While I can never undo all the damage brought about by Joseph Waldholtz’s actions, I am doing all that I can to uncover and correct his deceptions.” Joseph Waldholtz was a consultant to Enid Greene’s 1992 campaign. After they were married in 1993, he became treasurer of her 1994 campaign.
