Universal Alloy Corp. said Wednesday it plans to add an administrative building and an engineering and research center as part of another major expansion at the site of its aluminum extrusion mill. Universal also plans to build a facility for heat treating, straightening, stretching and drawing.

The expansion will boost the complex’s size to more than 235,000 square feet from 170,000 square feet. The entire multimillion-dollar expansion program, which began in late 1993, is expected to be completed early next year.
