Unisys Joins Sun Microsystems for Product

Unisys Corp.’s storage systems unit said it has struck a deal to work on a new disk-storage product with Sun Microsystems Computer Co. The new product from Sun Microsystems will use a Unisys disk storage system.

Unisys said the value of the agreement to its Mission Viejo-based unit will be about $10 million in the first year of the partnership. Production is scheduled to begin early this year, the companies said.

Sun Microsystems Computer Co., which makes network computing systems, is a unit of Sun Microsystems Inc. in Mountain View, Calif.
