Cruttenden Roth Names Senior Health-Care Analyst
* Dr. William R. Prather has joined Cruttenden Roth, a regional investment banker in Irvine, as senior health-care analyst. Prather, a physician and pharmacist, works both as a practicing physician specializing in gerontology and as a financial analyst. Before joining Cruttenden Roth, Prather was an analyst and vice president of health-care research with Hanifen Imhoff Inc. in Denver and senior analyst in health care with Manning & Napier Advisors of Rochester, N.Y.
* William A. Furlow has opened Furlow Corporate Communications in Irvine, which will concentrate on crisis communications planning and implementation and teaching executives to deal with the news media. Furlow is the former marketing director for The Times Orange County Edition.
* Susan D. Lindquist has been named a senior project manager for the South Coast division of Greystone Homes in Newport Beach. Before joining the company, she was a project manager for seven years at Costain Homes Inc. in Newport Beach. Lindquist was also senior project manager for Michael Brandman & Associates in Santa Ana.
* John Lacagnina has been appointed regional manager for North American Mortgage Co. in Irvine. He will be in charge of 12 loan production offices in Southern California and Nevada. For the past four years, Lacagnina was manager of the Albuquerque branch.
* Mark S. Anderson has joined Robert Bein, William Frost & Associates, an Irvine engineering and planning firm, as vice president. He will be responsible for management and supervision of projects throughout the Western United States, including the firm’s newest office in Northern California.
* Brian Merriman has been named chief executive of TOPAC U.S.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. in Irvine. He remains vice president and general manager of the company’s Electronic Imaging division.
* Larry Christensen has been appointed vice president of sales for General Automation Inc. and will head the newly expanded sales force. He had been western regional director. Succeeding him in that position is Ted Baird. He was formerly vice president of sales and marketing for Megawest. In addition, Doug Muller was named account manager for targeted major accounts. He previously worked for NCR/AT&T; Customer Services division for 13 years, where he most recently held the position of major accounts manager.
* Irene L. Ortiz-Holland has been named vice president, client services for Right Associates, an Irvine management consulting firm specializing in executive outplacement and career transition services. She was formerly a senior sales consultant for Pitney Bowes.
* Donald R. Williams has joined D.L.D. Insurance Brokers in Newport Beach as manager of the private insurance department. Williams was previously with Sedgwick, an international broker, for 16 years, most recently as vice president.
* Bruce E. Channing has been elected to the board of directors of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills. Channing is the Laguna Hills city manager, a position he has held since the city’s incorporation in 1991.
* Frederick M. Haney has joined the board of directors of Rainbow Technologies Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of software protection products and encryption technology. He is president of Venture Management Co. in Palos Verdes Estates. Haney was also founder and manager of 3i Ventures, Calif., a high-technology venture capital fund, and he has held senior management positions at TRW and Xerox Corp.
* Bryan L. Frazier has been appointed vice president and production manager for Bankers Mutual, a Newport Beach income-property mortgage banker and apartment lender. He will be the executive in charge of the company’s loan origination and business development, and coordinate marketing strategies. Frazier was previously senior vice president of the Alison Co. in Newport Beach.
* Kenneth J. Cosgrove, president and chief executive of Orange National Bank, has been named to the additional position of president and chief executive of the parent company, Orange National Bancorp.
