Valley School District to Be Chamber Topic
Laurence B. Labovitz, an attorney who represents school boards throughout the state, on Wednesday will discuss the possible creation of a new school district in the San Fernando Valley.
Labovitz, who will speak at a monthly luncheon of the Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce, will discuss the potential pitfalls and benefits of a new district, how it would affect the quality of education and the legal steps needed to create a district.
Cost of the luncheon is $16 for members and $21 for nonmembers in advance, or $5 more at the door.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Warner Center Marriott, 21850 Oxnard St. in Woodland Hills.
