Xsirius Takes New Name: Advanced Detectors Inc.

Xsirius Inc., a Camarillo provider of detectors used in medical instruments and other devices, has changed its name to Advanced Detectors Inc.
The new name “more clearly characterizes who we are, what we do and where we’re headed,” said President Jim Gerberman.
Since its founding in 1985, Advanced has worked mainly for NASA, the National Institutes of Health and other government agencies. The company recently introduced its first commercial product, LeadStar, which detects lead in painted surfaces.
