ITT Cannon Commercial Connectors Adds Gendron to Staff


* Gerry Gendron has been appointed vice president and general manager of ITT Cannon Commercial Connectors in Santa Ana. Gendron had been vice president and controller of ITT Cannon since 1990. In his new position, he will have management responsibility for the design, production and sale of products to the industrial, transportation and information/communication markets.

* Carl Ruzycki has been named director of sales for Santa Ana-based Simple Technology Inc.’s new operations in Canada. Ruzycki was formerly a distribution manager at IBM Canada Ltd. He also spent 13 years at PureData Ltd., a manufacturer of networking and fax products, where he was U.S. sales manager.

* Ronald E. Soderling has joined the board of directors of CT Realty Corp., a Newport Beach real estate investment company. Soderling is owner and senior partner of Resco, a Laguna Hills real estate investment and development company.


* Robert Quest has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the Employers Group, a human resources management association. He is president and chief executive of Advanced Controls Inc. in Irvine.

* Linda White-Peters has been named assistant vice chancellor of university relations at UC Irvine. She will oversee the chief executive round table, community relations, corporate relations, special events and protocol. White-Peters had been director of corporate relations and the chief executive round table since 1994. Before that, she was director of UCI’s Women’s Opportunities Center.

* Scott Tanner has been appointed director of synergy for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. He was formerly Disneyland’s manager of partnership marketing. In addition, Dan Skahill has joined the company as manager of participant marketing. He was previously western states regional marketing manager for Valvoline Oil Co.

* Diane Fassnacht has been named to the newly created position of new business specialist at the Schraff Group, a Costa Mesa marketing communications firm. She joined the firm last year.

* Thomas Houska has been appointed district manager at Merit Property Management in Mission Viejo. Houska, who has been with Merit two years, had been an account executive.

* Richard Cavecche has joined Pepper Construction in Irvine as senior project manager. His responsibilities include overseeing major private and public construction projects and development in the Southern California region. Cavecche was formerly with J.A. Jones Construction Co. Also, George Corry, who has been with the company since 1989, was named senior project manager.
