In the South Coast League:

San Clemente 52, Mission Viejo 49 (OT)--After San Clemente’s Colleen Turnbull missed the front end of a one-and-one with eight seconds remaining in overtime, Mission Viejo’s Christina Carcich scored at the buzzer to apparently tie the score, 51-51, and send the game into a second overtime.

However, game officials ruled that Mission Viejo (9-9, 2-4) had committed 10 team fouls and Turnbull should have been awarded two shots instead of a one-and-one. Officials put eight seconds on the clock and changed the score to San Clemente 51, Mission Viejo 49. Turnbull then made the foul shot for San Clemente (13-8, 5-1) to put the Tritons ahead, 52-49. Mission Viejo missed a three-point shot at the buzzer. Tami Higham had 27 points and 11 rebounds for Mission Viejo (9-9, 2-4), which played the game under protest.

In the Century League:

Villa Park 56, Canyon 49--Missy Bynon had 18 points for visiting Villa Park (11-9, 5-1). Mary Jo Pennington added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 59, Trabuco Hills 35--Mary Anderson had 16 and Jenny Jennings 14 for visiting Capistrano Valley (13-6, 4-2).
