Man Dies in Collision After Exiting Store Lot

A 33-year-old man died after his car collided with a sports utility vehicle as he was pulling out of a grocery store’s parking lot, investigators said Wednesday.
Tuong Phat Ly of Aliso Viejo was turning into a westbound lane of Alicia Parkway near Paseo de Valencia about 8 p.m. Tuesday when the other vehicle struck him on the driver’s side, Sheriff’s Lt. Keith Brown said. Ly died at the scene.
The 17-year-old driver of the other car was not cited pending the completion of the investigation, Brown said.
