Miami Dolphin Coach and General Manager Jimmy Johnson named Bob Ackles as the club’s director of football operations.
Ackles, who served as the Cowboys’ vice president of player personnel (1989-91) when Johnson was head coach, will assist in player personnel decisions and contract negotiations.
“When it came to scouting, I think Bob helped me more than anybody during my years with the Cowboys,” Johnson said. “I am confident he can contribute in the same manner here in Miami.”
