Edison 48, Los Alamitos 35--Marie Philman scored a game-high 20 for No. 8 Edison (14-7, 4-2).

Esperanza 53, Huntington Beach 47--Leah Combs and Lindsay Foss scored 12 points each to lead No. 9 Esperanza (16-4, 3-3).

In the Academy League:

Capistrano Valley Christian 69, Orangewood Academy 24--Hayley Hall scored 15 for the Eagles (11-8, 4-2).

Foothill 58, Orange 28--Gabby Kuehn had 16 points and six steals for visiting Foothill (14-6, 5-1).

In the Empire League:

Century 54, Katella 36--Alli Napier scored 17 points and Aprile Powell 15 for Century (18-2, 6-0).

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 56, Sunny Hills 35--Erin Allard had 14 points for host La Habra (8-9, 5-1), and Shannon Lewis scored 12 for Sunny Hills.

Troy 76, Buena Park 27--Heidi Hardeman scored 26 for Troy (13-6, 5-1), which held Buena Park to four points in three of the four quarters.

In the Golden West League:

Ocean View 53, Westminster 52--Becky Fraser’s free throw with six seconds left gave 10th-ranked Ocean View the lead, and Anna Lembke deflected an inbounds pass to help run out the clock as the Seahawks (15-6, 5-1) tied No. 7 Westminster (17-4, 5-1) for the league lead.

Fraser had 20 points and Lembke 17. Westminster’s Tanzenika Holmes, whose free-throw tied the score, 52-52, had a game-high 23 points for Westminster.

Saddleback 39, Santa Ana 38--Deanna Guzman’s three-pointer with 10 seconds left gave Saddleback (2-15, 16) its only lead.

In the Olympic League:

Brethren Christian 80, Orange Lutheran 66--Rachel McDonald scored 19 points as Brethren Christian (13-7, 5-1) won the battle for second place. Orange Lutheran is 11-7, 3-3.

In the Orange League:

Brea Olinda 74, Western 46--Jennifer Saari (23 points) and Rochelle Anthony (18 points, 10 rebounds) led No. 4 Brea (17-3, 6-0). Adrienne Ratajczak scored 19 for Western (11-11, 2-4).

Magnolia 59, Anaheim 40--Andrea Picchi (16 points, 16 rebounds) led Magnolia (13-7, 5-1). Stephanie Durrett had 26 points and 22 rebounds for Anaheim (5-10, 1-5).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Beach 56, Costa Mesa 54--Koo Kim made three three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help the Mustangs rally. April Chambers’ 22 points and her sister Chrissy Chambers added 13 for host led Laguna Beach (7-11, 1-5).

Laguna Hills 56, Aliso Niguel 21--Whitney Houser scored 15 points for No. 5 Laguna Hills (18-2, 6-0).

University 56, Estancia 55--Raschelle Lawrence’s layup with 21 seconds left gave University (13-8, 4-2) the victory. Lawrence had 16 points. Jessica Waltz scored 16 for Estancia (18-3, 4-2), now in a two-way tie for second-place.

In the Sea View League:

Irvine 42, Newport Harbor 41--Brandy Marcus scored 16 points and Julie Primero added 10, including eight-of-10 free throws, for Irvine (12-9, 4-3).

Woodbridge 86, Santa Margarita 23--Erin Stovall scored 21 points as No. 2 Woodbridge (20-2, 7-0) clinched a share of the Sea View League title. Cathy Joens added 18 points.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 39, San Clemente 31--Natasha Combs scored 12 points as Capistrano Valley (14-6, 5-2) upset San Clemente (13-10, 5-2). The Cougars made 11 of 16 free-throws in the fourth.

Mater Dei 67, Trabuco Hills 50--B.J. Day had 14 points and Rhonda Gondringer and Melody Peterson scored 13 apiece for top-ranked Mater Dei (18-2, 7-0). Sarah Warnick had a game-high 17 points for Trabuco Hills (7-12, 1-6).
