One can only wonder what NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue was thinking when he presented Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones the Vince Lombardi Trophy, after Dallas’ 27-17 victory.
Only a few hours before Sunday’s game, Tagliabue, on ABC’s “This Week With David Brinkley,” lashed out at Jones for his marketing deals.
“Jerry Jones dishonors the agreement he made when he came into the NFL partnership,” Tagliabue said. “He takes what does not belong to him. The NFL is what we sell. It belongs to 30 teams, not the Dallas Cowboys.”
