New Kids’ Slate: The WB network’s Saturday morning children’s slate will expand to four hours next fall, with three new animated series joining the network’s existing programs. The new shows will be an all-new “Superman,” featuring the voice of “Wings” star Tim Daly as the Man of Steel and Dana Delany (“China Beach”) as Lois Lane; “The Damon Wayans Series” (working title) in which the comedian gives voice to a 10-year-old kid living in Lower Manhattan; and “Road Rovers,” about a pack of courageous canines who are seemingly just faithful companions to the world’s heads of state, but turn into superheroes when called into action.

No Simpson Ads: The National Enquirer is among those refusing to sell advertising to O.J. Simpson for his $29.95 video on which he reportedly answers questions about his whereabouts on the night Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Lyle Goldman were killed. Calling the video “inappropriate” in light of the “serious nature of the events,” Brian Williams, the tabloid’s senior editor, said the paper anticipated reader protests if it ran the ads. The video’s producer, Tony Hoffman, said that Black Entertainment Television, which broadcast a live interview with Simpson last week, is the only cable TV station that has been willing to air the paid commercial. Hoffman said the ad is appearing on about 60 broadcast stations nationwide, but he declined to name them for fear they would be pressured to drop the commercial. Among those cable stations that have turned down the Simpson ad, CNBC called its denial “a management decision,” and Lifetime said the video “didn’t meet our standards.”
