Volunteers Sought to Paint MTA Mural
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is looking for volunteers to decorate the site of a future Red Line subway station at Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue.
A community workshop will be held today at Barnsdall Art Park in Hollywood, where the public can paint panels to be hung along 300 feet of Sunset and Vermont, said Gayle Gale, an artist who was commissioned by the MTA for the project.
The workshop is free and will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Junior Art Center in the park, at 4814 Hollywood Blvd.
