3 Lieutenants Named as ‘Area Managers’
The Irvine Police Department recently began a new community program that divides the city into three enforcement areas, each under the supervision of a lieutenant.
Sam Allevato, Vic Thies and Mike White will become “area managers” of the three city zones, which include the Irvine Business Complex and the northern and southern sections of the city. Each area has more than 60,000 residents.
The lieutenants will meet with community and school groups in each zone and with representatives of the city’s cultural groups.
