Music: After four weeks of legal fine tuning, a $200-million partnership deal between MCA Inc. and Interscope Records is expected to be announced today. Under the agreement, MCA will acquire a 50% stake in the Westwood label, which distributes controversial music on the Death Row and Nothing/TVT labels, whose rosters include stars Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg and Nine Inch Nails. The contract includes a provision designed to distance MCA from the most provocative products by allowing Interscope the freedom to distribute elsewhere albums that MCA deems “too controversial.”
