The March 2 conference, called “Creative Options,” will consist of more than 70 workshops on issues ranging from breast cancer and AIDS to the politics of religion, gun violence and affirmative action.

Judith L. Lichtman, president of the Women’s Legal Defense Fund, will be the keynote speaker. And humorist Polly Schack, otherwise known as “Mother Mirth,” will close the conference with a discussion on the power of humor to revitalize the self.
