Update : Follow-up on the news : School Workers Get 1st Raise in 4 Years
Trustees have approved the first raise in four years for Irvine Unified School District’s 600 classified employees--nonteaching staff members whose jobs range from maintenance to secretarial work.
The two-year contract includes a 3% pay increase, retroactive to July 1. Irvine Unified teachers won a similar contract in January.
Classified employees could receive an additional 1.5% salary boost if optimistic school district revenue projections hold up.
